How much can i expect to pay for a complete skateboard?
I skated when i was in 5th-6th grade but stopped. Now, a couple years later, im starting again. I dont remember how much things costed bcause my dad used to pay for my stuff, but now i have a job and i gotta pay for it. I have 130$ to spare. Is that good enough? Bare in mind i only want a decent skateboard, not an expensive, top quality one.
130$ is a perfect amount it will get you a good skateboard with all the stuff you will need, you might even have enough to buy yourself a helmet! ( aren’t i funny?)
A very good place to buy a skateboard is ccs.com There you can build your very own complete customizing all the parts as you go. For the deck i would get a baker and kind is fine like for a width between 7.5 in. and 7.75 in. and length get like a 31 in. or a 32. in. I think this will be around 107$ (don’t worry the rest of the parts are like 5 dollars and below because it is a complete)
For trucks you should go with thunder lows don’t bother with the pro kind unless you want em but these are light, strong, and inexpensive.
For wheels you should get try bones wheels(look for streetburners if your into street, and parkburners if your into vert. Or you could try getting some nive stf wheels.) i would recommend anything under 54 mm in size.
Next part just skip the hardware packages and click on bearings.
Now they have some pretty good choices here a good inexpensive bearings would be bone reds. a good sort of expensive bearing would be bone swiss blacks or labrynths. And a good choice right inbetween would be the pig checks.
For grip i’d go with MOB or jesus mob has tiny holes in the grip that lets air bubbles like pop or whatever. and Jesus just has pretty grippy grip.
For hardware just get shortys they have been a trusted hardware brand for years stick with the originals
