Who put up the sign in Justin Hermann Plaza highlighting Mark Gonzales’ conquests of the now defunct Gonz Gap?
It appears to list the years of the infamous ollie (1986) and kickflip (1993) from the wave down to the stage. From a distance it resembles standard city issue (red text on a white background – like a “No Parking” sign). How long has the sign been up? Is it sort of official city or state monument? I like to think so, but I doubt it…
Any info on the history of this sign is greatly appreciated.
